Application Method:
Air:
- 5 to 10 pounds per acre in sufficient water for good coverage.
- Use this procedure only:
- Fill tank with water.
- Start agitation.
- Add Gainer ® product slowly and continue agitating until product is completely dissolved.
- Do not pre-mix as a slurry.
- Add pesticide last.
- Exceeding 2 pounds Gainer ® product, or other materials, per gallon of water will over-saturate spray solution and cause a precipitate.
- When temperatures are cold allow extra time for this product to completely dissolve.
- If additional wetting is required add a non-ionic spreader at 1 pint per 100 gallons or 1 pint per acre by air.
- Avoid foliage application when plants are suffering from abnormal growing conditions due to heat stress or drought.
- Do not use on Golden Delicious during slow drying conditions.
Dilute:
- 3 to 5 pounds per 100 gallons of water.
Irrigation Water (solid set, overhead, drip, sprinkler or pivot irrigation systems):
- Dissolve Gainer ® product in mix tank and apply 8 to 10 pounds per acre in irrigation water.
- Use of anti-siphon or back-check valve is recommended to prevent material from running back into primary water supply.
Semi-concentrate:
- 5 to 20 pounds per acre in 40 to 100 gallons of water.
Crop Type:
Beans, peas, lentils, rapeseed (canola):
- Use 5 to 10 pounds per acre.
- Apply at first sign of bloom.
- Repeat 2 weeks later.
Berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries):
- Use 5 to 10 pounds per acre in Spring on new growth.
- Repeat at pre-bloom and 3 weeks later.
- Use sufficient water for good coverage.
Cole crops, lettuce, leafy vegetables:
- Use 8 to 10 pounds per acre.
- Apply right after thinning or transplanting.
- Repeat every 10 to 14 days.
- Additional wetting agent may be needed.
Corn (field and sweet):
- Use 8 to 10 pounds per acre.
- Apply when corn is 6 to 8 inches high and again prior to tasseling.
Cranberries:
- Use 8 to 10 pounds per acre.
- Apply at popcorn stage.
- Repeat at hooking and 3 weeks later.
Deciduous fruits (apples, pears, cherries, plums, prunes, peaches, almonds, walnuts, filberts, pistachios, and pecans):
- Apply in delayed dormant, pre-bloom and post-bloom sprays at 3 to 5 pounds per 100 gallons in dilute sprays or 10 to 15 pounds per acre in concentrated sprays.
- Avoid combining with materials that may cause russeting.
- Post-harvest application of 10 to 40 pounds per acre can enhance tree vigor and increase nutrient levels within spurs the following season.
Field crops (mint, alfalfa, clover):
- Use 8 to 10 pounds per acre.
- Apply when plants have 6 to 8 inches new growth.
- Repeat to new growth after each cutting.
Gardens, shrubs, flowers, lawns:
- Dissolve 1/2 pound in 10 gallons water and apply to foliage with sprayer.
- For ground application use 1 pound per 200 square feet.

- Subsequent applications at 2 to 3 week intervals.
- Later applications may prevent "early die" symptoms.
Small grains (wheat, oats, barley, rye):
- Use 5 to 10 pounds per acre in sufficient water to cover by air or ground.
- Apply at tilling and again at early boot stage.
- Caution: use only with ester forms when combining with 2,4-D. Do not use with amine form of 2,4-D or dicamba (e.g. Banvil).

- Use 8 to 10 pounds per acre.
- Apply when leaves are 10 inches across.
